Description
It kind of functions as a full reboot, essentially "how I would do Spider-Man," so there's some backstory behind some of these.
Of course you have to begin with Spider-Man himself. In my concept he's little different than he normally is--a young teenager named Peter Parker who was bitten by a special spider. I like the concept in Ultimate Spider-Man of him being connected to the Green Goblin through his origin, so let's say his spider was OZ powered.
This outfit I designed for him is sort of intended to be a "first year" or beginner outfit. It's intended to look like something a teenager would have cobbled together. Design wise it is kind of reminiscent of runners and extreme sports like climbing and parkour, which he obviously partakes. I really liked the spider symbol I designed. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to design a more traditional "second revision" or not.
More to come!
Coming back to see and read about the “Year One” suit, because I have decided that I am going to read through and look at “Peter Parker’s Amazing Fantasy”—that is still a great and fitting name for the SM project, by the way—from beginning to end, because, if I can be extremely frank for a second, your interpretation of Spider-Man has more love and respect for the character and his mythos as a whole than whatever on God’s green Earth is going on at Marvel right now—specifically with Spidey himself. I’ll probably talk more about THAT as I get along more with what I will be doing here. But, anyway, the suit itself looks very good. It really does look like something a teenager would have cobbled together from clothes and other such items that they found from around the house. But, you know, it just makes Peter more relatable like that! 😄😄😄 Broke as heck, so you have to improvise sometimes with what you have on hand! I do like how you modeled his “Year One” suit after running outfits and outfits one wears when doing other extreme sports like climbing and parkour, which our dear Petey has done PLENTY OF. My dad actually used to partake in running years ago, so I am fairly familiar with that style of clothing. But, anyway, great work! 👍🏻👍🏻🔥🔥🕷️🕷️ And I can’t wait to go through the rest of this wonderful project!
